Curse of Darkness

Innocent Devil & Evolution

1.0 General

CREDITS: SyfaOmnis

PARENT > KID consequences:

This is a relatively simple section with a (relatively) Simple Formula.
These numbers will always be the same for any given ID even in later
generations

Total stat enhancement = Initial state + (Growth rate x (level - 1) /
98)

Battle type : Initial state = +10 str, Growth rate = +40
Bird type : Initial state = +4 Con, Growth rate = +12
Fairy type : Initial state = +1 Luck, Growth rate = +14
Mage type : Initial state = +5 Str / +2 Con, Growth rate = +20/+6
Devil type : Initial state = +4 Str / +2 Con / +1 Luck, Growth rate =
+14/+4/+5
Pumpkin type = Initial state = +10 Str / +4 Con / +5 Luck, Growth rate

+60/+18/+50

I.D. Abilities are learned through a "beat exp" formula, the formula is
:
Beat exp = (1 + (Enemy's level +5) / 10)

Attacks have two formula's which are very much the same, Magic based or

Attack power based :

Attack damage = Skill multiplier x Attack attribute
Magic damage = Skill multiplier x Magic attribute
Skill multipliers will be listed in a following area.

Level up attribute increases. Second generation I.D.'s have 10% of
their
parents stats added onto their initial state when they drop a shard.

Exorbio has added the following:

"Also, as an addendum, please note:

There is a limit to how much of a bonus an ID can get.

The new ID starts off as a normal 1st level ID + %10 bonus.
It does NOT start with the same as it's parent + the bonus.

e.g.: Pumpkin

1st gen level 99: HP = 118
2nd gen level 1: HP = 32 (20 + 12), level 99: HP = 130 (32 + 98)
3rd gen level 1: HP = 33 (20 + 13)

it DOES NOT do this:

1st gen level 99: HP = 118
2nd gen level 1: HP = 32 (20 + 12), level 99 HP = 130
3rd gen level 1: HP DO NOT = 45

(This is accurate, I've tested this up to the 4th gen)

If you want max you're better getting the first gen's level in the
90's,
otherwise it can take a lot more generations to get it to max
if you keep using shards from the 50's & 60's.

e.g.: Pumpkin

1st gen level 51: HP = 70
2nd gen level 1: HP = 27 (20 + 7), level 56: HP = 82 (27 + 55)
3rd gen level 1: HP = 28 (20 + 8), level 61: HP = 88 (28 + 60)
4th gen level 1: HP = 29 (20 + 9), level 66: HP = 94 (29 + 65)
5th gen level 1: HP = 29 (20 + 9), level 71: HP = 99 (29 + 70)
6th gen level 1: HP = 30 (20 + 10), level 76: HP = 105 (30 + 75)
etc.

(obviously, this example is to show how the math works, and
does not gaurantee you will get shards at those levels)

Overall, the max bonus you can ever get is %11.

"I don't mean to be such a stickler on this, but there have been
a lot of misinformed posts about this & some people seemto think that
the %10 bonus compounds like interest, but it does not."

Thank you exorbio, We love you for contributing

Also, Please dont ask what agility does, we have NO idea on what it
does
or what it could do.

About Meteo/Demonic disaster, they both do the same dmg with the same
element, and it "looks" like DD is the better skill for costing 5 less
hearts,
DD has a "charge up" time before it is cast, whereas meteo is
instantaneous.

Bossrush

1.0 Hector

1.1 Equipment

Weapon

Chauve-souris: The strongest spear when it comes to damage. Its main use is for the tornado combo ender since it's range is great and it clears out annoying things around you *hint Legion hint*.

Death's Scythe: You'll be using this most of the time mainly due to either it's damage or it's dark property. Do not use against bosses with dark property.

Laser Blade: The damage is lower than Death's Scythe and War Hammer but you can dodge boss attacks easier due to it's speed. Basically works well against human bosses like Trevor and Isaac. It's also better than the axes when it comes to jump attacks because you can pull off a lot of hits from a jump attack, unlike axes where they hit once.

Hein: Staggers some monsters infinitely and has holy property.

War Hammer: Second strongest weapon right after Death's Scythe. It's combo enders are better than Death's Scythe since it does more damage. Mainly used for it's combo ender and against bosses that are strong to dark property.

Head

Masakado's Helm: For the +10 STR. The low def is also good so you get hit for more damage so the Megingelos can have better effect.

Armor

Dracula's Clothes: For the +10 STR. It's basically the same as Hanzou's Clothes but with more DEF. So you choose which you think works better in your gameplay.

Hanzou's Clothes: For the +10 STR. The low def is also good so you get hit for more damage so the Megingelos can have better effect.

Accessory

Death Doll: Not actually useful. But it helps when you want very low HP for the Megingelos and it helps your ass when you die on accident by having very low HP. If you want the absolute damage you can dish out, going with the Brooch of Bonds is better.

Innocent Supporter: If you don't have the Moebius Brooch (you most likely won't have it unless you're doing it in Crazy Mode) then this is a must since it reduces the hearts used for I.D. skills.

Megingelos: The less HP you have (every 10 HP), the more damage you deal (+1 damage for 10 HP loss).

Moebius Brooch: Ditch the Innocent Supporter if you have this (only on Crazy Mode).

Sacrifice Brooch: You will need to use this when your HP is low (when I mean low, I mean LOW like under 9 HP) in case you get hit. You can use the Death Doll in case you get hit but then you'll be losing about 24 (and higher to bosses who have weaknesses) damage a hit. When using Sacrifice Brooch, just make sure you don't get hit too much because it will drain your I.D.s HP and you'll be needing it for skills/spells. Using it on I.D.s like Battle and Bird is fine because you won't be using them as much but using it on a Mage is something to be careful about.

Innocent Devil

Battle I.D.
- Hip Press Lv. 2

Mage I.D.
- Agneas
- Dancing Star
- Explosive B.
- Meteo
- Time Stop
- Twinkle Star

Bird I.D.
- Conflict Fall
- Sphere of Darkness

1.2 Techniques

Level 99: Yes, you need level 99 for Hector and all his I.D.s so you can get the most out of them. You will need all your I.D.s with max MAG growth. How to get max growth for particular stats? Read HERE.

Backflipping: Hold the guard button while holding a direction and pressing jump. It moves you around quicker than just running. You need to press it once, wait a split second then press it again. If you press it too fast, Hector will do his second flip which will make him flip into the air and make you waste even more time. Also use backflips to get out of combo enders and when you're hit to save time.

I.D.: If you have the Moebius Brooch (if you're doing this on Crazy Mode), you just need six I.D.s for Boss Rush Mode. A Mage with Agneas and Explosive B., a Mage with Twinkle Star and Dancing Star, a Mage with Meteo (with Agneas too), a Bird with Sphere of Darkness and Conflict Fall, an Iyeti with Hip Press Lv. 2 and a Phoenix with Big Bang.

Megingelos: The less HP you have, the more damage you deal. Learn to use it well.

Under 9 HP: Have under 9 HP before entering Bossrush Mode for maximum effect from Megingelos.

1.3 Tactics

1) Crazy Armor
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Explosive B., Agneas)

Use Explosive B. while running to Crazy Armor. Once you reach it start spamming Agneas (only once is enough because if you destroy his first form with a second Agneas, you won't be able to cast it on his second form due to your I.D. being stuck in cast position) once and start attack. For the second form, it's pretty much the same tactic except you don't need Explosive B. Spam Agneas and attacks.

2) Wyvern
Weapon: Laser Blade
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Iyeti (Hip Press lvl 2)

Here's hoping that the Wyvern decides to smash its head into the ground. Spam attacks and Hip Press Lv. 2.You'll most likely be able to kill it before it decides to do its second attack (that is if it poked its head into the ground).

3) Trevor Belmont
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Bird (Sphere of Darkness)

Basically you will want Trevor to whip you so you can get an easy chance to pulling off combos on him. Since Sphere of Darkness pushes Trevor away from you, you'd most likely want to use it after doing a combo on him.

4) Skeleton Diver
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Meteo)

Once the Skeleton Diver appears, start using Meteo (make sure not to spam it or some of them will go right through the boss) and attacks. Your goal is to kill it before it sinks into the water.

5) Minotaurus
Weapon: Hein
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Iyeti (Hip Press Lv. 2)

At first you would think Hein would be a pretty useless weapon with its bad range and lack of combos, but it in fact can stagger somes enemies and bosses infinitely, just like this boss. Spam Hein and Hip Press Lv. 2. The correct way to spam Hein is to small jump attack after the third attack and repeat to get rid of the delay.

6) Isaac
Weapon: Laser Blade
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Agneas)

[square x4, circle] combo with the Laser Blade works best simply because you can keep repeating the combo due to no delay after the combo ender. Keep using it on Isaac until he perfect guards you or you lose concentration on him. That's where Agneas comes in, to stun him so you can continue comboing him.

7) Saint Germain
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Time Stop, Agneas)

The Bird I.D. would be useful for its Sphere of Darkness, but you need Time Stop to counter his attacks. Basically the same tactic as Crazy Armor, just keeping attacking while spamming Agneas. When it pulls off attacks regarding time, counter it with Time stop and continue. When he starts to refill his HP, counter it with a Time stop to stop it from refilling (you can get it to 25% instead of 50%). Then keep attacking while spamming Agneas.

8) Trevor Belmont
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Bird (Sphere of Darkness)

Basically you will want Trevor to whip you so you can get an easy chance to pulling off combos on him. Since Sphere of Darkness pushes Trevor away from you, you'd most likely want to use it after doing a combo on him.

9) Dullahun
Weapon: Hein
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Dancing Star, Twinkle Star)

It's first attack will be a jump into shockwave. Simply wait until he's in the air and then use Twinkle Star then right after use Dancing Star. Then whack him to death with your Hein (it has holy property, which Dullahun is weak to) while using Twinkle Star. Don't use Twinkle Star to quickly after each other or else it will whiff. Use it once, wait a bit, then use again.

10) Isaac
Weapon: Laser Blade
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Agneas, Twinkle Star)

This fight is where it'll decide if you'll be getting a good time or not. You need to get at least 75% of Isaac's HP before he can summon. So basically you have to keep him in stun animation for it. That's where the [square x4, circle] combo with the Laser Blade comes in. If he perfect guards or escapes, use Agneas and continue the combo. If you mess up, you can pretty much say bye to a good time. Once he uses his third summon (if you didn't manage to kill him straight), use Twinkle Star.

11) Death
Weapon: War Hammer
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Iyeti (Hip Press Lv. 2)

Basically keep doing the combo ender with the War Hammer that makes Hector swing his weapon in circles while spamming Hip Press Lv. 2.

12a) Legion
Weapon: Chauve-souris or Hein
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Bird (Conflict Fall)

Use the [square x3, circle] combo for the Chauve-souris to damage it while killing the annoying corpses running around you. Let the Bird I.D. attack it at spots you can't reach. Once it has 1% HP left, use Conflict Fall to reach and kill it. You could also use Hein instead of Chauve-souris, but it would be a lot harder to dodge the corpses.

12b) Nuculais
Weapon: Death's Scythe
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Iyeti (Hip Press Lv. 2)

Spam your attacks and Hip Press Lv. 2.

13a) Dracula
Weapon: Hein
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Mage (Twinkle Star)

One Twinkle Star is enough. Use it right when the battle starts and start attacking. A few hits should do it since the Twinkle Star does about 85% damage to Dracula.

13b) Dracula
Weapon: War Hammer
Head: Masakado's Helm
Armor: Hanzou's Clothes or Dracula's Clothes

ACCY: Megingelos
ACCY: Innocent Supporter
ACCY: Death Doll

I.D.: Iyeti (Hip Press Lv. 2)

Lets hope that Dracula flies over to the platform and not waste time doing needless attacks from afar. Spam your attacks and Hip Press Lv. 2.

First of all, you will be needing a spear with the slide attack (square, square, circle) and a Iytei I.D. with shoulder ride. Once the boss in the infinite corridor (Dullahan) is defeated; the area in the Forest of Jigramunt with the western toilet will be available.

Use "shoulder ride" and aim towards the space between the toilet and the slanted wall. After going into that spot, steer back and forth until the Iytei's feet sink into the ground. Then jump off the Iytei and perform the slide attack with any spear—but make sure you are holding the joystick in a direction that will make Hector slide up the slanted wall.

Try to get as high up on the wall as you can, and press triangle rapidly to engage the shoulder ride ability again. If timed correctly Hector will appear on the ID's shoulder's for a brief moment and then jump off. But Hector will now be on the other side of the slanted wall—under the walkway that leads to the save room.

Trevor can also do it as well!

Stand next to the western toilet chair in the Forest of Jigramunt, face to the left and execute the "square, circle, square" attack. If done properly, Trevor should do a cork-screw attack—and if you are perfectly lined up with the wall, he'll go right through it!!

Of course there is no percentage gain and Trevor can't use teleporting items like Hector, so you'll have to go under the slanted walk-way (at the end of the video) to get back inside the normal game area.
